It's no secret that there has been a certain lack of winter weather in the Midwest this year. Snowboarding outside of local ski resorts has been hard to come by, but that doesn't mean that the guys at THETEAMLAB.COM haven't been trying to make things happen, even without snowy conditions.
I personally have been spending an awful lot of time driving back and forth between commercial jobs and chasing the receding snowbanks to try to nail some legit photos.
One of the spots that we have been talking about shooting for a long time is this super long down rail east of Appleton, WI. Literally, there has not been full snow cover on this spot at any point during the year, so we decided to give it a shot without snow.
You will notice the chain-link fence directly at the bottom of the landing, maybe 8' away from the end of the rail.
Mike, Marc, and Jory all gave it multiple attempts, Mikey came about 10 stairs from the end on one attempt, but I think he was worried about hitting the fence at mach 3 and hopped off early. Nobody get the whole thing.
Obligatory gas station shots, sorry Jeff.
Audi, a beautiful girl, the car isn't bad either.
More to come. -J.H.
